The tree of life by Andy M.
There once was an old tree––1000 years old or so. That was the border between the elves and monsters. The elven side was a magical world full of life and peace. As for the monster's side, it was filled with lava and DEATH. The monsters kept to their side until one day when the tree got sick. So the village got an old wizard to come from the mountains of the lit land. He looked at the tree and sniffed the tree and tasted the tree. The wizard came to the conclusion that the tree would die on the summer solstice, which was 13 days away. The village got scared because if the tree died, the monsters could get through. The village elder went to his library and pulled out a book that was labeled “the book of hero history.” He flipped through the pages until he found it: “The legend of the samurai lord.”
The book said the samurai god lived up in the northern mountains. He used a katana to defeat the monster lord and throw it down the deepest cavern he could find. But since the monster lord was immortal, he could not die. So the samurai made a little hut to watch over the cavern and make sure the monster lord could not get out. The village elder sent travelers to go to the samurai’s hut and bring him because the book said that his helmet could heal any wound. It was a gift from the elven gods. The samurai was hesitant at first, but he knew that if the monsters got through the wall, the elven race would be destroyed. So he went with travelers to the village. The village elder was so happy to see the samurai that he jumped up and down in excitement. The elder brought the samurai to the tree and the samurai placed the helmet at the roots of the tree. Almost instantly, the tree blossomed with beautiful flowers. It turns out that the tree was a huge, and I mean huge cherry blossom tree. As the tree got bigger the village did too and the wall kept them safe... until now.
