This was for a prompt where you choose an object and write about it - my object was a mini stapler covered with plastic gems.

The stapler sat on the pedestal-like black block

small, but still bound by gravity

Hope is what guided us through our constant cycle of creation and destruction, of love and hate, and of our hearts and our minds.

Nostalgia

I love this place

This camp

Third year

With my cousin best friend

And...it feels like school

There are people from school

Which

Even if I like them

Makes me tense up

sing even if you sing badly; dance even if you dance horribly; write even if you write terribly; love even if you are bad at it.

a collision of keratin

and chipping pigments

a meticulous routine spent

washing pale nails

in a montage of paint trails,

Both love and hate are free, and easy

But love makes people feel good;

Make people feel good.
