Identity is a huge part of our lives, because it makes up everything about who we are and how we move about the world. And part of our identity is where we are from.

I never knew

what it would look like

how it would feel

and I guess I don't

yet.

I'm just a bystander

I'm just an observer

I'm just someone

    watching

Beauty isn't perfection

It isn't when you look like a model

For a fancy brand;

It is rooted in your heart,

Golden sprouts peaking from the glands,

Little silver blossoms opening,

Proudly standing tall,

As I stared at the intricate lines that snaked across the faded paper in my hands, only one thought was running through my head: “I’m going home”. I looked through the windshield, thinking of the path I had ahead of me.

Just two minor chords 

resonating in dark rooms.  

Something new has bloomed.
