As we are both up in the cosmos

Both wearing dresses of silk and satin

We happen to bump into each other

Waking up to you

grinning down at me

your long, golden hair falling off your shoulders,

I close my eyes

block out your face with my hand

“This is forever, right?”

“What do you mean?”

“I mean, I don’t want anything to change between us. Ever. We’ll always be together . . . right?”

Walking to school

with the cool

air nipping,

not yet biting,

at exposed skin

leaving it red to match
