As fall comes
Summer is done
Geese fly by
High in the sky
The leaves fall down
They all turn brown
But as everything dies
It will come back alive

if I was an octopus
If I was an octopus and was able to change what I look like at will, I think that it would be very strange. Even though it would feel strange, it would feel normal at the same time.

You know I think it just struck me I was sitting here reading summer poems tasting raspberry popsicles on my tongue but looking out the window,
it's snowing out
and the trees and stone wall and everything,

What I want
My favorite season has begun
stark white against the grayish brown of stick season
filling in the gaps between colorful fall and crisp winter
well, fall and winter are both crisp
