Once upon a time,

the princesses got tired.

They were done

they deserved to be.

And the fairies

that the fairy tales were about,

the fairies

that were written out

with their striking beauty

I don’t like the word chivalry

The spelling

The sound

And what it means

Be chivalrous and put women first!

Can’t we just be treated as equals?

I think it’s dumb

A prince in shining armor

She’s always happy

I know that’s what they think

She wouldn’t hurt a fly 

That, too

Sometimes they don’t think

That it’s hard for me too

That I don’t always want to be the nice

Why not?

It's not you until it is. 

It's not you until you decide to text back. 

Till you say yes when you mean no.
