The Cat and the Night
The Cat watches the city as veins of smoke rise from chimneys. The moon has drowned the city in that dark ocean known as Night. The street lamps but small stepping stones which lead travellers down forgotten streets.

Conversations glided through Willow the same way in which paper airplanes are flown through the sky. The classroom was only partially filled due to philosophy's limited popularity, however idle chatter has yet to be deterred by this.

The Season of Figments
Perhaps Autumn is the season of figments. When what’s real is hidden behind mountains of fog. It is a time when what isn’t dances perilously close to what is. The same way the burning leaves that fall, perform their final reel with the wind.

The irregular trods of exhaustion, followed by certain ones of death. Chasing the mouth of the Styx. Trying to ignore the screams of a thousands hanging from the limbs of lamenting branches, whilst following a torch that still would not light.

Fatal Orbit
She carried around a lip gloss with her, reminiscent of jam and the fruits I used to eat in my youth. It appears darker in the bottle than on her lips, yet she says it is perfect the way it is.
