slipping out of eyesight

through windows

and out back doors

in the dark of night

with only the stars as witnesses.

slipping through thick forests

carrying sweet-smelling woven baskets

Snowboarders, wheres your snow?

I believed that beneath the tree, 

the branches' shield protected me.

Blocking out the words, the shouts, the pleas,

of others that were being teased.

Amongst the insects, bugs and all,

In all your sadness and glory

Let me be there

Own the fact I will be here forever

Very much attached to your side

Even when you wish me gone

Your light will always guide my ship

My mind goes blank,

This feels like a terrible prank.

I want, I desire,

But within me there is no more fire.

I want to let my thoughts flow from my mind to the screen,

But my creative mind was wiped clean.

A giggle, a gurgle, a glimmer of light.

A whistle, a whisper, a wish in the night.

Runs faster than a falcon flies,

but smoother than the stones' skin.

Younger than the mountains embracing it,
