Calico Frost

A perfectly normal day, spent staring at the

Beautiful sky, so you probably

Can't imagine why I was so

Distraught. Well I'll tell you.

The fluids are slushing through my veins, 

Creeping through my blood, through my thoughts, 

Through each word I speak. 

And it's all back

Full-fledged

Only it's... worse?

It's harder?

And I am completely "fine"

And "enjoying myself"

And "fitting in".

I take the homework home

And complete it within half an hour.

All I can do is sit

and watch

and wait

as they purchase me

as I am loaded into the back of a car

as I am unloaded from the car

as I am brought into their house

I hold onto anything that leaves a mark.

rings that coat my fingers in green

doodles in blue ink on my arm

I hope for my injuries to form scars

just to prove their existence.

scratching bug bites until they scab
