The ice is bleeding,
oceans cough up plastic in its lungs,
skies choke on smoke
while we scroll, sip, and shrug.

Worried that I hugged the wrong person
Or smiled at someone who talked badly about me when I left the room.

i can only imagine the salt of the sea and
the schools of tuna that end up in my bowl
they swim through the eternity that melts into the sky
surviving the harsh summers
