Growing Up

Deadline

Write a story, poem, or create your own way to express what you want to be when you grow up. This could be written about what you want to have accomplished by the next four, ten, twenty, or even fifty years. You are your own book, and it is being written as your life goes on, but you can decide the plot!

Or write about why you would never want to grow up. You can decide if, in the world you are writing about, it is necessary to grow up.

Submissions

  • Somewhere

You spend most of your childhood wanting to grow up. You dream of all the things you'll do, the people you'll meet, the freedom of a life where you are the captain of your own ship.

  • I want to grow up

    I can't wait

    To grow up and see

    Every

    Single

    Opportunity

    That no one

    Will ever

    Give me

    Because I'm a kid

    I haven't had experience

    But only because

    I've never had

    A chance

  • Childhood

    Childhood,

The state of being a child

    Childhood,

A phase of innocence and immaturity

    Childhood,

A period of pure laughter and unadulterated joy
