    Body nested in the damp grass, 
    the sky gazes over my skin. 
    Feet pulled by the still stars 
    while the earth keeps racing.

    Is it so wrong for you to look at me?

    Is it so bad to smile my way?

    You act like I'm untouchable, a flea,

    But yet you kiss me whispers and my hair you play.

    She cried and cried,

    Stars witnessed why she lied,

    The universe sang her a golden hum to sleep,

    The Magical moonlight guarded all her secrets deep.

    Starbathing

    New starust slicks the shingles

    On the ancient roof of the shed

    Where a couple of souls lie to clean

    Their greying teenage bodies.

     

    The streetlight turns off at

    Half past ten,

  • 11:29 pm

    lying down on the rocky ground of western Colorado

    and looking up at what the vast darkness of the unknown has granted us tonight

    an ache fills my lungs as my eyes take in the beauty of the millions of lights dotting the sky
