River

We clash like stones along the shore,
Rough and stubborn, fighting more,
In every word, in every glance,
A storm ignites, a battle dance.

Yet like the river’s steady flow,
Through muddy waters, love will grow.
We fight, we argue, we won't back down,
But in the end, we're safe and sound.

Clyde—your name, a river wide,
A current deep that won't subside.
You roar, you rage, you pull, you push,
But through it all, I feel the hush
Of rivers running underneath,
A bond that's steady, strong beneath.

The waves may rise, the tides may turn,
But through the fight, we always learn—
That though the river may divide,
It also brings us close inside.

So when we bicker, when we stray,
Remember this, at close of day:
Like river's flow, we can't be lost—
Through every storm, we pay the cost.

Clyde, my brother, wild and free,
In every fight, you’re part of me.
For though we argue, shout, and bend,
You’re my river—my brother, my closest friend.

There’s a squishy feeling, like your fingers
    pressed into soft dough,
    the way your body sinks
into the warm, endless bed of a blanket.

School’s great. I *love* waking up early
to sit through hours of stuff I’ll forget.
Lunch? A gourmet mystery I’ll never solve.
Tests? Oh, the thrill of failing with style.
