A small, insignificant memory

I remember

in third grade

we had a group chat

and everyone was talking to each other on their school emails -

this was back when the school hadn't removed G-chat yet -

and you were spamming the chat

saying "BEANSSSS"

over

and over

and over

until I threatened to leave the chat

permanently.

I don't know why that moment stuck with me

I just remember some parts of my childhood vividly

and that memory was one of them.

You immediately apologized

pleaded that I stayed on the chat

I did

only because you stopped spamming it.

I forgive you now

but that doesn't really matter now

because that was literally five years ago

and it was too insignificant.

But I still forgive you

because it feels nice to say.

    It's cold out

    it's snowing

    falling slowly

    steadily

    reassuringly

it brings a sense of calm

    the world has begun the process of renewing;

    once the snow melts
