If only the stars could guide me,
far away from this terrible sea.
I’m sitting here, silently pleading,
all for you to notice what I’ve been saying.
I don’t ask for the sun, the moon, and stars,
yet you act like it’ll all be ours.
The rain hasn’t yet washed away-
the feeling of despair from the day.
Yet you continue on as if nothings wrong.
I’m stuck in a pit of quick sand,
sinking lower and lower into the land,
wishing that it were the cold, icy snow.
Yet you act as if you’re the one who knows.
Giving in to my fate, that’ll turn to stone,
I silently wish the stars would guide me,
far away from this sea, so I can just be.

I really like the imagery in this poem! You have some great descriptors and comparisons, like the terrible sea, the quick sand, and the cold icy snow. This reminds me a lot of Annabel Lee by Edgar Allen Poe - https://www.poetryfoundation.org/poems/44885/annabel-lee. Thank you for sharing!
Thank you so much! <3
