Donno if that was your intent, but the poem could be interpreted in the political sense where the rights for humans are slowly falling apart (and maybe imperialism taking rise? We're studying that unit in Social Studies lol) because nobody cares enough. At least that's how I read it
Yeah, I know that feeling. I try to combat me not being enough with self-love lol, though that rarely actually works. The thing about being chosen is that it's not permanent, from my experience, so it's kind of like a losing game unfortunately
