How long does it take for you to write whatever you post on YWP? I'm curious about the process of others.

I've been on a hiatus for some time, but when I wrote on here, it usually took between 15 minutes to an hour! Sometimes I'll come back to something later on, so then I guess technically my poems can take up to a month :)
I depends on what I'm writing! Some things I write in life five minutes and I'm like, why not? But some things, like my most recent poem, take a long time to come up, as well as write
depends! sometimes it just springs from my head and writes itself within 5 minutes, sometimes it's a half-formed piece that sits in my notes for weeks before i remember i haven't finished it yet lol! most of the time i get a spark of inspiration and it takes me around 10-20 minutes to figure out & write how i want it to appear as a poem or other writing.
i've been thinking about this a lot recently, and i realize that most of my poems are written within a 5-15 minute time period, because i am usually afraid of losing the idea. sometimes, i will write down a few lines or just a basis of the poem and then ignore it until inspiration strikes. amelia and i have a document that we share with ideas and poems and i find it really helpful to have a spot to keep all of that organized.

I typically will look through my Word doc of poems and just pick one to post. I don't write with the thought of posting it in mind. I write with the thought of my message in mind, and then I post it if I think it is good enough. Writing poems takes about 2 minutes to an hour, depending on the length and the amount of editing required. It really depends, though; sometimes an idea just comes up out of nowhere, and I write it in five minutes!
