Hello Spring
Hello Spring,
I see you down the cobbled path;
Your flowers lead the way,
I run after you—two can play this game.
Hello Spring,
When it rains, I still chase you
Hello Spring,
I see you down the cobbled path;
Your flowers lead the way,
I run after you—two can play this game.
Hello Spring,
When it rains, I still chase you
Candle light–
Flickering in–
the night.
Wisps of the dark–
A dreaded freight.
Whispered words–
Before
I had dreams
I had compassion
I didn’t care what anyone thought
I laughed more often than not
I cried over things that mattered to me
Four swimming pools deep and
the chocolate is so rich its making
me think
sundresses.
I can spin,
but your blind until you pick up
your pen
day one
day five
I’m walking through a tunnel.
A dark, dark tunnel.
I don’t know what is going on outside
Attention haters.
Don’t blame me
because I am just trying
There has always been something
Blocking me from the world.
I’m sorry if I can’t explain it very well.
Half a dozen pink hearts
Strewn across glowing white screen
Girls guessing at identities
Of secret beaus

Once there was a funny goose,
who loved to drink apple juice.
One day things backfired,
all the apple juice had expired.
The goose then climbed a spruce.
I would
get up and
run
out to the yard,
would dance with trees
running up to grab its
leaves
and spin in my
pink skirt,
I would pretend
I was a princess
Why?
Why is it so hard to say goodbye?
Every time I try, I freeze and can't speak...
Why did you have to go?
Why did you have to leave?
You left without a warning...
I felt like I couldn't breathe...
I wrote a poem about you.
One you probably won’t read.
Because I don’t have the courage
And it defeats its purpose anyway
