I saw you today

And it felt like forever. 

Your eyes are like a poet's,

Everything fades when you're around

And I need you to know it. 

It's just a house, they all say.

It's NOT just a house. 

Not to me, it's not. 

It's my home. 

This is where I learned, everything.

Thanksgiving or Halloween or whatever

How come when i do something right the only thing they remember is the thing i did wrong?

How come when i tell someone my opinion its wrong because it's not the same as theirs?

I gather hope in my pockets.
