Why would I think you would touch me?

I'm covered in thorns.

Not my fault,

it's the way I was born.

I scare you away,

with every sharp point on my body. 

There is a light, 

one small glimmer. 

It flickers like the flames, 

fighting the darkness. 

Dim, 

Beautiful and dangerous,

peace and chaos.

It flows so gracefully,

no one screams out.

One day they drowned,

fallen into the unforgiving sounds.

Your hands are warm,

my heart is cold.

I want to hold you just to show,

what it feels like to be whole.

But that will never happen,

because you want someone I don't know.

Let our hands align 

as your heart collides with mine. 

Let your breathes fill my lungs with life 

so we will never run out of time. 

Then hold me til we decompose,

We couldn't say forever,  

but we said it anyway. 

I hope you find someone who's meant to take your last name, 

but until then we'll just find ourselves living in yesterday.
