Switched
I was waiting outside of my school's main doors ready for the school day to start. At last kids start flocking the doors and I follow suit.

Eight hours of madness
Blue doors
Hard, cold white tiles lined with blue ones
Walls painted a bland white
This is my cage.

Four and a half senses
I was gifted with four and a half senses
The first was the gift to see the world
Opening my eyes
Seeing the sharp lights
Blinding at first

Losing Control
Every day I spend
Afraid
Of what you might do to me
Every word you say is like a gunshot
To the chest.

A play... it's not finished, but I want ideas
Characters:
JAMES: A wrestler, very calm and collected, except out on the mat in the spotlight.
SHADOW: A strictly rule-following entity, always carrying a large book, gets flustered easily

Governed by the People. Remember that?
What is democracy to you?
Is it a flag of red, white, and blue waving in the air on the back of your pickup truck while complaining to the administrators that immigrants are "infiltrating" your kid's school? -
Why I write
I write to relate,
and to speak my truth.
I write to prove I know pain,
and to see that others do too.
I write to be heard.
When the world becomes a deaf frustration,
-
penny for your thoughts?
i have everything i ever wanted,
the iphone, the apps, the friends, the clothes
but,
im still not who i wanted to be
im sorry, how can i be better?
do i work harder?

Dream
You look like a poem
I wrote at night
the stars are trapped inside
those eyes of yours
and I can't seem to look away
You look like a poem
I wrote at night

Is This What It Feels Like?
Is this what it feels like?
To not be considered human?
To be some invalid,
Invisible thing
That almost nobody wants?
Is this what it feels like?
To be rejected and turned away?
