I regret not kissing you

But I regret kissing you then

I regret not treating you right

But it's behind me

I think of how we talk

Of how we laugh

I wish for my feelings to not just be one sided

I hardly knew her at all, wasn’t expected to. She was just a kid at the High like anyone else, who had no car. She was sitting stubbornly on a bench, determined to get a ride.

it's hard to believe i am beautiful

when in the eyes of the world

beauty is the opposite

of achievable

without bending yourself

out of who you are

i want to stay me

true to my being

The saying 'you don't know what you have until it's gone,' 

is a truth that feels like a weighted curse, one you'll never be rid of. 

Seasons change quicker than we realize, as winter holds fall close,

Maybe it’s funny but every time I try to write about you, the words die in my throat.  Is it that I know too much?  Or too little?

You gave him the clouds, the sunsets, the stars.

You gave him your 3am wishes on mars.

You gave him 13 handwritten diary entries,

You gave him enough pen ink for centuries.

He gave you a rose, the 26th on December.
