A shade off,  
a soft blur,  

Almost there,  
but waiting,  
somewhere between  
yes and maybe. 

The sun hangs high, a golden blaze,
Filling the sky with unblinking gaze.
It watches over the land, fierce and bold,
Turning the ground to burnished gold.
