Wherever there are dark skies above

just beyond

there lies crystal blue waters

found in wait

on top of darkness

that the sun doesn’t reach

for it is too far down 

Nature's Canvas 

Amidst the forest’s vast and tangled green, 

I roam beneath the shadows and the light. 

Kind, but scared

Overprotective, but with good intentions

Voluntarily facing danger

Every moment, in pain

The backyard of my childhood home held the old pine trees that had whispered melodies in my ears throughout my sweet infancy. Their wise branches reached out to me with empathetic arms, holding me until I had fallen seamlessly asleep.
