Wonder

What is something that makes you stop and wonder. It could be something we all take for granted in our everyday lives. It could be something supernatural. What do you wonder about? [Photo: "Clouds" by happy_the_dog, YWP]

    My Super Hero

My dad was a super hero. One weekend out of every month. I’d stand at the end of my windy driveway with my unicorn pillow pet and this hunger to be loved.

  • I wonder..

I wonder what it would be like to not love you.

What would happen if I let go?

I didn't hold on tight enough when it counted,

and now I'm stuck not able to let the rest of you slip through the cracks.

  • Plant Life

I often wonder how plants feel. It’s hard to comprehend how there can be living organisms that don’t seem alive, such as trees. So still and silent. I remember the house plant growing from a seed, but it seems unbelievable.

  • Power Lines

One thing that made me stop and wonder these past weeks is power lines, which is weird, I know, but I have a logical question too. Why did they put power lines above ground?

  • Thoughts About Driving

    Sometimes driving makes me wonder

Sitting in a big tin box, travelling faster than a hare

Until I reach traffic and crawl along slower than a tortoise

We spend so, so much time

Moving from one place to another

  • The Meaning of Life

So you want to talk about the meaning of life? There are many people telling you what your life should mean. More importantly what your time should be, because what is life except time and consciousness? Some people say your time is money.

  • What Could Have Been

    Why do we wonder?

Is is a quiet rebellion? Refusal to accept It as it is?

A mental shield to protect from routine and repetition?

Is its continual persistence to blur the harshness of reality?

  • Wonder

Something I seem to always think back to, is what happens after you die. I used to get trapped in this thought and it was my biggest fear all throughout my childhood.

  • Wondering

I wonder about a lot of things. Sometimes I wonder so much that I have to block out my questions before they overwhelm me entirely, filling my mind so there’s no room for anything besides queries and doubt and uncertainty.

  • Ponderings

I wonder what heaven looks like. I wonder this as an atheist. Is it space, sailing among stars? Is it merely a concept, eternally to be determined, determined by fate?
