We have planted our seeds in soft soil
but then the droughts came
and the soil hardened
cracked
turned on our seeds
and what was once a garden is now a deathbed
shriveled up
seemingly hopeless
until someone passed by the sad sight of the withered plants
they sprinkled a little bit of water on the ground
all that they could spare, they moved on
and the next day
someone else came by
and did the same thing
giving as much as they could spare
and then
small groups of people started coming
then they came in droves
all giving water
they nourished the seeds
some people even brought fertilizer
giving and giving and giving
sparking life in the dry dirt bed
the soft and nutrient-filled soil returned
the seeds began to sprout
and despite the dry climate
despite the air struggling to evict the water from the garden
people kept coming
and to this day, are still coming
though less so than before
the soil is a little dehydrated
but still supporting the seeds
which are now bright, colorful flowers
tomatoes and peppers, even
sparks of colors amidst the green leaves
this is where a little bit of water gets us
it just takes time and effort
to make hope prosper and thrive
just give a little water
a little kindness
effort
perseverance
hope.

This gave me goosebumps. What a beautiful peace about hope. Your visuals are so clear. I could really see the soil coming back to life, the seeds growing roots, each person contributing a little of what they had. The ending made me smile and reminded me of that feeling. Lovely piece, keep writing!
Thank you so much!!
