Perpetual Motion

Life never stops.

It is a carousel that never stops spinning.

A vinyl that never stops playing.

A clock that keeps ticking.

It may slow down, it may speed up,

but it never stops.

A river that never stops flowing.

A planet that never stops orbiting

The pulsing of blood through veins.

Life never stops.

Until it does stop.

Once it stops, it never starts again.

It's done.

There is no going back.

You can't choose when it ends.

It just ends.

  • She Was Me

    I had a funeral yesterday.

    A quick goodbye to

    the person closest to me.

    It has been so long

    since she was alive.

Why have I held on to

    her lifeless body?
