You can see the flakes twinkling in the air! There's a pale pink cast over this photo that almost looks like a filter (but of course is just the sun) and it leaves me with such a nostalgic feeling.
This brought much needed humor to my afternoon. I was enjoying the thought of a person being described as "crispy" and "gooey" before I reached the end and realized you were speaking about a cookie, so I'd call that a befitting title!
It's only too natural to let our self-confidence affect us some days, but I hope that most days you can look around and recognize all of the wonderful role models in your life, and know that surely they must be rooting you on! Why would they not be? We are molded by those around us, as you touch on yourself, but it happens gradually. If you aspire to the qualities of these women and friends, and continue to spend time with them, no doubt with time and patience you will grow into the person you one day hope to be.
You touched on it all... the good, the bad, the ugly of growing up. And your message rings true: The thunderstorms come so we know just how bright the sun is when it shines. Lovely ending note.
