I discovered Young Writers Project again after years of forgetting it existed. I just read 3 of your poems, and every one of them made me feel charged and alive and stunned on words. I think it's strange to feel so comforted by knowing someone exists who I've never met, when the kids around me in the lunch line jostle me out of reality.

I have felt this so strongly about people in my life. The line "Maybe I could relearn your laugh, And forget the ways you hurt me" felt so tangible.

Maybe you won't see this. You are a random person on the internet to me. I read your poem, and it was exactly what I wish I could make my former best friend understand. Thank you.

In my French class we are watching a kids show about children in France in WWII. It's called Les Grandes Grandes Vacances. I highly suggest it. Bon chance!

I’m learning French too!  Some tips my  teacher gave me are keeping a notebook with grammar and vocab, listening to music in French, and taking a sticky note and labeling items around the house with the French. I hope this is helpful!

I feel this so deeply. The idea that someone’s died, like you’re grieving. The want to make a difference, but not knowing how to. It’s so hard. But keep your head up. We got this. We’ll get through this. And sooner or later, whatever’s left, we’ll rebuild. We’ll make it stronger, more inclusive, safer. <3
