Amazing poem. "Here, defeat is a chain; binding the future tight, closing the door before it can open." I saw exactly that when read this. Your line breaks are awesome. Keep writing

I want to print this and pin it to my refrigerator, or frame it on a wall. The rhyming is amazing and the flow of the piece is lovely. I love every stanza. "Pretty like the mountains tall / The hills wild and untamed / Pretty like the city lights / Stars of another name" gave such strong imagery. Lovely piece, keep writing!

Ive never seen a poem like this and I LOVE it. I read it as if someone was choking or sobbing or angry in the spaces between the words. Mic drop. Keep writing

I had to read this a few times and I found a new thing to love about it each time. "Incomprehensible grandness of it all" and "the weight of a thousand suns" are both very compelling lines. Keep writing!

Ah, a paradox. "The people built the wall / With their hands in their pockets" is such a good line. Keep writing
