How are you feeling about the school year starting soon (or if you've already started)? I'm starting my senior year of college and it feels very strange! At the start of every school year I get the Sunday scaries but this year I'm feeling it even more. I'm super excited for my classes and my new room but it's also bittersweet since it's my last year! What classes/activities/clubs are you excited for? I can't wait to walk around campus when the leaves are falling and it smells like apples <3

Wow, how's your senior year going? I started eighth grade today, and so far it's been stressful but fun. I know it'll be second nature soon, and it's not so different from last year, but it feels like forever since I've been in school haha. I'm super excited for cross country to start, because I love to run (at least in theory. Ask me while I'm doing it and I may not say the same).
I'm starting on Tuesday and I hope it goes well! Ooh cross country! I'm not a big fan of running either lol but that sounds like fun. I agree - I know I'll feel more comfortable soon but it's definitely a bit nervous and intimidating at the beginning of the year - it feels like forever since my semester ended too! I hope your school year goes well :)
I wish it was summer still, to be honest. Except this year im taking a lot of history and English classes which I’m excited for! Especially this creative writing class I signed up for, hopefully it’s as good as it sounds.
Me too - this summer went by insanely fast and I hardly got to do any typical summer fun things (no s'mores, no beach, no sunburns) Ooh yay! I'm also taking lots of English classes and creative writing classes specifically. I love getting to choose my own classes! (once I got to college I went a little ham and took an Intro to Rock and Roll class - it was so much fun though!). I hope your school year goes well :)

I'm honestly very excited for my junior year this year! Finally get to take classes I'm intersted in like screen writing (yay!) Nervous for the work load though and managing classes with clubs. to anyone starting a new chapter o school (or a new grade!) give yourself some grace and patience! also best of look hehe
Yay! I completely agree! For anyone nervous about starting a new grade/school/era, it's going to be a bit stressful as you adjust but just let yourself get used to it, even if it takes some time - whether that's getting used to assignment, work load, clubs, or making friends (for me that can be the hardest, since everyone seems to have their own group established - but just know it's so easy to make friends accidentally! I've made a lot of friends randomly, like when we were both lost trying to find a certain room). Screen writing sounds super fun! I hope your school year goes well :)
Same to you! I've also made friends accidentally haha, the amount of times a random compliment or a joke in the lunch line turned into a friendship is crazy. Here's to a great school year!
I'm apprehensive. I enjoy the summer and my free time and getting to create my own schedule, so going back to school is kinda sad. Also I'm starting 11th grade which is notoriously known as the worst year of high school so I'll see how it goes.
I feel the same way - I got so used to going to work this summer and coming home and scrolling on my phone for hours lol. I'm going to have to get used to school and assignments and essays again - but I'm looking forward to it! (I actually really like school). Ooh, 11th grade! You're so close to graduating! I think it can be hard because you're on a precipice and you have to make a lot of decisions - colleges, post-graduation, etc - but it should also be a fun time to spend with your friends and your family! I hope your school year goes well :)
Definitely a lot of decisions to be made. Between college tours and SATs, it's just a lot all at once. Thanks for the encouragement and I hope you enjoy the school year too!
I can't believe its my junior year of collage this year! I'm starting off with a study abroad program in Rome, which is very very very exciting but even more unmooring!

I stared 8th grade this year. It's only the 3rd week and I've already asked for an extension. It's a big deal to be in 8th grade at my school and there are many leadership opportunities. But it just hit me it's my very final year of middle school and it feels bittersweet. But this will prepare me for high school and greater things!
Yes 8th grade is definitely bitter sweet but you'll be so grateful for entire year and just savor everything I feel like I was a lot more appreciative of my younger years by the end of eigth grade. And love asking for a good extension! Sometimes you just need to extra time to get things done. I think as I got older I ask for them more often... and teachers are more willing to give them XD
