The piney forests

The lakes and hills and mountains.

Today they're thriving

Well surviving

But what will it be like in 2050?

Green everything

 The snow comes down in big flakes

Wet, but puffy

Pleasing and cold

Landing on my nose

My cheeks

My eyelashes.

It is officially winter.

The giddiness that comes with the first snowfall

Dreaming

Like floating

In the impossible abyss of unknown.

Subconscious

Becomes conscious

Becomes something

Not quite reality

Not quite not reality.

Dreams are an in between

The sky is falling

Like a drop tower

Plummeting towards the ground.

The sky is falling

The ground is giving way

The earth has stopped spinning

The sun has stopped shining.

I scroll through the options

Endless rows

And rows

And rows

Of smileys

And animals

And faces

And people

And things.

I scroll through the multicolored hearts

The laughing faces

I believe

That everything in the universe

Has an opposite but equal

Double.

A counteract

A balancing factor.

Like how 1 has -1

And peanut butter has jelly

Like that.

I think
