Courageous Enough

When you pass by,

you will sigh a small “hi.”

and

(of course),

I may not be near–

enough to respond

and 

(of course), 

I may not hear–

enough to yawn

 

Yet

(of course),

I may not fear– 

For your smile can make all the difference.
