Wise words. That you've come to the realization that, no, you never DO wake up one day having it all figured out, is a well-earned prize, even if it feels like anything but -- it's the first step on the road to acceptance of ourselves and our imperfections, and gratitude for what we have, where we've been, how far we've come. A beautiful reflection. Happy birthday, there's so much ahead of you!
The circular quality of this piece serves only to strengthen it. Each of your words feels carefully chosen and crafted, with a great measure of intention behind them.
Spanish because the teacher can't manage the classroom
Maybe getting to work in the State House as a Page
8th grade, but I'm mostly homeschooled so it doesn't matter
The food at my school sucks, but I'm in an under privileged part of VT so it's good that we have it at all because some of the kids only eat school food
I love this poem so much! It was recently my birthday, and I was feeling really nostalgic about growing up. I couldn't stop thinking about the future and how it would turn out. But you really put my feelings into words. It just means we should cherish the time we have now. Happy Birthday! :)
"Maybe this is what growing into being an adult is- feeling more like a child than you ever have, even when you were one." I love this line so much. When I was younger I tried to act and think like an adult. Now that I'm older, I feel younger than I actually am, and I try to value my youth more.
Humanities. I love English and this class is basically a combination of English and history which means we have two teachers. The people in this class are also really cool and I like the teachers alot.
So far Algebra 1 because I'm awful at math but I like the teacher and students or Integrated Science which I like the subject of but so far its kind of boring. My school does different classes each semester and I have a feeling my least favorite this year will be PE which I have next semester
Humanities again. It's my only year long class and I just think it will be really fun.
I'm a Freshman
Some days lunch is fine, others not so much. There's always pizza though so I think I'll stick to that most days. I really like the people I eat with though and my school has a cafe where you can get frozen yogurt for like a dollar so its not all bad.
Not really any fun facts, this was really fun to do though :)

This is so tender and sweet! Having someone to care for is truly one of the joys of life.

This is wonderfully said; the imagery is fitting, and the language suits this poem very well!
