This poem is extremely emotionally impactful. I've left this tab open on my computer for weeks now, coming back to it every so often, and each time it hits harder than the previous. You are an extremely talented writer and your works are captivating, deep, rich. More than empty words. Your words inspire thought and analysis. The dolphins and colors remind me of the Lisa Frank folder covers of my youth! I especially love the strokes of turquoise used to create the water. This whole image is so full of life!
I don’t know if this is anything like Six of Crows exactly, but I read Ace of Shades by Amanda Foody (it’s really good, I’d say) and I’ve heard it’s like SOC! Or another good series I recommend is Stalking Jack the Ripper by Kerri Maniscalco!!
