The metaphorical language in this piece is so lovely! I'm here for your interpretation of the two shapes described in such a new, creative light.

Such an important message. I worry about the same things too, every day. And I remember the powerless feeling I had when I was not yet able to vote (although these fears obviously persist even when I can). But, keep writing poetry about it, keep sharing your voice. One day, we can hope, our reproductive freedom will become tangible again.

I start feeling this for fall in the middle of summer. When this happens I start making loads of art surrounding colorful maple leaves, and mugs of tea.

The linework on this is stunning! I love the knots in the tree stump, and the way you chose to represent shadows on the body. She really does seem to embody all the strength and wisdom of our great Mother Earth, which you can see in her expression.

This is a great observation. We're all only human, afterall. It reminds me of that quality people sometimes say they like in a politician, when you can see yourself sitting down and having a beer with them. I may be too intimidated to share a drink with Kamala Harris, but I do like seeing the little glimpses of her life that help humanize her in spite of her position.

Thank you! I wrote this over 5 years ago, when I was 13.

What a beautifully simplistic image.

This piece left me speechless. The addiction metaphor comes across so powerfully, without feeling overplayed or overdone: It sort of creeps up on you, like the grass on your narrator's leg at first. By the end, you can really see the effects of heroin, feel the complete loss of control and complete loss of sanity, from the point of view of someone struggling (a POV that I think is important).
