we're not allowed phones in school here in Vermont and never have been as far as I can remember, but things like apple watches are less restricted. as soon as the announcements come on at the end of the day though, you're allowed to take your phone out of your bag, so there's been a lot of near collisions in the hallways as everyone leaves school with their phones an inch from their faces
