I haven’t read Influencer but that reminds me a bit of The Initial Insult by Mindy McGinnis!! I’ve got mixed opinions on this book. The story is told from two (occasionally three) perspectives and it’s very…vengeful? Also slightly disturbing? It wasn’t what I was expecting to read but that’s on me, I didn’t fully read the back of the book. It was very well written though. I’m not entirely sure how to explain the plot so I’ll just put the title out there and say it was definitely a page turner!
I love KotLC! (Also by Shannon Messenger is the Let The Sky Fall trilogy which I haven’t read but I’m going to soon.) Another good Rick Riordan book that’s not part of the PJO world (besides Daughter Of The Deep—which I totally recommend by the way) is one that I’m currently reading called The Maze Of Bones (book one) in The 39 Clues series!!
oh...oh...okay flip how do I explain the massive pjo universe in 500 characters. whew okay so here's my favorite order of each sort of mythology Rick Riordan wrote:
PERCY JACKSON (Greek/roman): pjo books 1-5, heroes of olympus 1-5, trials of Apollo 1-5, Sun and the Star, Chalice of the Gods, Wrath of the Triple Goddess
MAGNUS CHASE (Norse): magnus chase 1-3
KANE CHRONICLES (Egyptian): kane chronicles 1-3
(magnus chase and the kane chronicles are related to pjo but not required to understand pjo)
My middle school had that because a kid got caught watching something they shouldn’t (idk if I can say what but I’m sure you can figure it out) but I don’t believe anything like that happened. That’s terrible!
At my school, the teachers use like three different ways to watch what we're doing on the computers, so they'll catch kids on anything they're not supposed to be on. It's not the best system, though, because my English teacher was reading one of my friend's emails via the apps they use to monitor the kids.
Wait there's more pjo books? I thought it was just the first three and then The Sun and the Star, and I was so confused, I was like "How did we get from 'oh hi it's Nico di Angelos' to 'NICO AND WILL ARE BOYFRIENDS'? Did I miss something?"
Yeah, I understand monitoring to some extent, but we still should have some privacy.
