come now away
once in the darkness
where i was thinking
i saw a light
oh deep in my soul
i did not question
where it had came from
i simply sat
in its embrace -
winter and her freezing grasp
winter wages her war outside
angrily beating her ice-hands on my doors
thrashing branches she sends through the air,
a flurry of soft snow not far behind
she screams her wind-scream, rage filling the storm. -
tis the cycle of things
tis the cycle of things,
this dying,
this hungertis the cycle of things,
the cold and the wintertis the cycle of things,
this living,
this dyingtis the cycle we live
in our broken, bleeding world -
how i long to escape
oftentimes i get so sick of living
and i just wanna run awayi know it doesn't fix much
but if i keep moving,
maybe it won't catch up -
winter on her way
death is upon us
winter is comingshe will sweep in with an icy breeze
spreading her wings over our puny townshe breathes her freezing breath through the streets
she buries us in her snowslowly we freeze

of dead leaves, creating a painting that weaves-

The gods of old
The gods of old
The beings we worship
Seem to glow so much
So much so that we fell for the fox’s trap
We fell for that heavenly glow -
