Fainting Goat

My mood is like a

Sky full of thunderous clouds

Dripping rain sadly

Butterflies floating 

staring in amazement at 

the wondrous blue skies

Wrong.

It’s all

Wrong.

I don’t

Understand.

What’s happening

To me?

I feel

Weak.

I feel

Powerful.

I am

The dark.

I am

The light.
 

Wrong.

You said I was

The one you loved.

But

That was only

One of many lies

You told me.

When I gave you

My heart

I gave it lovingly.

When you tore it

From

My chest

I always thought

We’d be together

For so much longer.

I thought that

I’d finally found

Someone who would

Love me for a while.

Not just until 

She got jealous.

I was fine

I step outside,

And look around.

I see the autumn leaves.

In hues of yellow,

Red and brown.

I see the autumn leaves.

As I watch,

Barely breathing,

Autumn leaves 

Fall from the trees.
