Gaea and Her Children
As I sit in the grass a sense of magic overcomes me. The mother of all, Gaea, is here.
I can’t see her, but I feel her presence everywhere. She is crying, sobbing, mourning her lost children, the trees, the birds, the bears, the flowers.

We must change or She shall die,
Our selfishness causes Her to cry.
Whispering wind in my ear,
Her desperate cry for me to hear.

Dear leaders,
You say you love us
The children of your country
But you do what is best
For you
Even though
We are the future
Of our country

How can you expect us

Governed by the People. Remember that?
What is democracy to you?
Is it a flag of red, white, and blue waving in the air on the back of your pickup truck while complaining to the administrators that immigrants are "infiltrating" your kid's school? -
Dull Roar
I'm so mad I can hardly write poetry anymore,
every word rushes out and tumbles down,
knocking the inside of my skull,
a dull roar that follows me to school and home again.
