she has short and messy dyed red hair

she has dark brown eyes that glow in sunlight

she is silent

she is a good friend

she has fading signed shoes

she is nice

Dear World, 

I am teenager. I am on the cusp of life, a time when my entire life is ahead of me yet I am beginning to feel as if some parts of it are behind me. 

Snow does something magical, I think; 

Creating a blank slate, can I start over now? 

It fuels first loves, the paths criss-crossing in a storm, a blizzard that lingers in the memories. 

We are a group of people mostly under the age of 18 that according to the government might as well not exist.

We are underestimated by grown-ups

Because we have not been through all of school.

Will we ever stop

Forming gaps for young children to fall through,

Teetering on the edge–          –swinging their legs.
