The fluttering leaves that were once so lush and green and captivating and sang in the breeze,

Now, they are gold,

Wispy flakes nestled in among the reds and oranges,

In my heart, I'll turn back the time. 
I'll see you again, but not in my dreams 
I'll relive each moment when I wished for more
But will something change this time?

You spend most of your childhood wanting to grow up. You dream of all the things you'll do, the people you'll meet, the freedom of a life where you are the captain of your own ship.

“I can make it hurt,”

My sister’s mouth uttered these words,

as she raised her pickle ball paddle to threaten my brother

My siblings have always had their moments,

where they would fight as if they were opponents

tiny rectangular black hole

sucking us all in

                                         faster

I think it's scary

To have someone

Who has done horrible things

Be in charge of our country

Have power and be in control

I love our world

But it's a mess

I don't want it

To get worse
