12 year-old Cindy Carmen is on a relaxing cruise with her mother. One night, she sneaks onto the deck of the ship. She overhears a weird conversation between the captain and a crewmate. -
Sweet Lemonade
sweet sips of lemonade
inbetween hot summer breaths
under a charcol fueled sun
bright faces are covered in crumbs
the remains of a cherrry pie
a delicios catastrophy
laughter fills the air
high and sweet -
Barriers
Some mental
Some reality
All cagingKeeping us at our limits
Making the hard decisions
Making the safe decisions
Caging us in
Keeping us tucked away
Tucked away from life -
Freedom In Bubbles
I race across the sandy shore
Sand spreading beneath my toes
As the waves crash alongside me
When the tide starts to go out
I turn towards the water
Gliding into the ocean with the grace of a swan -
Yellow Flowers
My eyes follow the open field
All sadness seems to deliquesce
As I run through the yellow flowersSoft petals brush my toes
Warm wind runs through my fingertips
My hair dances with the grass
