Your point about the struggles of sidekicks being more intense or just plain worse is super true! Personally, when I'm writing and don't have a ton of experience with a struggle but I still want to have diversity in the experiences of my characters, I will give the struggle to one of the side characters, though I often think about if it's better to have more mostly good representation for certain struggles, or less really good representation. (Sorry that was a bit of rambling), but anyways, I really like this piece!

Ha, well I don't care what kind of flower it is, it's stunning just the same! Even the stem pops somehow, which seems impossible: lime green against lime green. The gradation of color in the background is very pleasing to the eye.

Yes, I hope that you do! This piece touches on the darkness -- it doesn't shy away from it -- but it ends on such a positive note, with such an appreciation for the beauty in life. I can't wait to see how the others play with these themes as well.

"So simple a concept yet so complex in its effects..." Spot-on. Some ways we grow to miss people and honor their memories are very specific to them, but some things are universal -- like that feeling of your house losing the status of "home," without that special person to occupy it with you -- and it's the latter you build upon in this piece. I find this all so relatable, when it comes to loss.

Whatever it is that's ailing your soul, you're obviously stronger than you know! Keep fighting on, keep writing about it!
