I would definitely say the most important thing is taking advantage of everything. Lots of people feel too scared to take part in a lot of clubs or events, but especially in your first year that's really going to help you meet a lot of new people. And don't be scared to do too much - I did probably 6 or 7 clubs in 9th grade, and really grew to love a lot of them, and many will have trips to different places, which can be great inspiration. If you feel like you have too much to do, you can always stop going to a few, but make sure you don't get to a point where you're just doing nothing. And for writing in particular, a lot of schools will have a creative writing club or class; sign up for whatever feels right and you'll probably meet a lot of great people there, too.
Yeah, totally agree. On a phone, the YWP website doesn’t show the search icon, which is super annoying. If there was and app, that would probably be fixed.
Woah. I have to know more about how this was created! Is it paint or charcoal and chalk? Whatever the medium, it makes me feel like I am dreaming or in an altered state of mind... Wicked cool!
There can be such intense catharsis and release in putting pen to paper and letting your emotions flow freely onto the page. And I couldn't have described that process any better than you did. I really love that you allowed the benefits of poetry and the creative process to fuel and inspire you into writing a whole new poem about it itself!
THIS IS SO AMAZING!!! YOU'RE SO TALENTED KEEP UP THE INCREDIBLE WRITING ❤️
