Another book I think might work is Time Bomb by Joelle Charbonneau. It is a thriller-type book with a bit of mystery. The main plot is basically a bunch of people trying to get out of a high school after/during a bombing, but it also has some very well written lessons and some great character arcs! (Also it’s told from six perspectives!!)
Yesss it's so nice, the sand looks so soft and the water seems so calming! I also tend to post some of my old photos too haha, I just posted a picture from two September's ago right now actually. I haven't really published/put my art or writing anywhere so I'm glad I could put some of it here

Ace of Spades is another dark mystery set in a high school. It's very surprising and thought provoking.

You should, it's really good! Miriam Bonastre Tur changed her style a little bit, but not by much. There's still her signature love triangle, though!
