Democracy & Ethics – Writing

Deadline

Democracy only works in an ethical society, one that places the common good above the wants and desires of the individual and sets aside partisan division. Can President Abraham Lincoln's vision "of the people, by the people, for the people" be saved? Are we at a turning point in America? Is a democratically elected government enough to uphold the tenets of democracy? What needs to change to protect democracy?
